Pros & Cons
Pros
The detachable handle is a godsend! Works fine, but is a little sloppy to fit together. I like how the top rotates to change speed vs.
The cup and lid that comes with it are awesome to premake them and put em in the fridge. Better than my last cuisinart.
Cons
Hand blender has some serious drawbacks for my personal use. It's quite heavy (over 30 oz) only used to blend a few pots of soup last season and cracked on my second batch this year. It mixes okay but the actual mixing part of the hand blender constan... Read More

Aside from things like knives and pans, if i could only keep 1 thing, this would be it!
Price
This is a great deal more solid than i was expecting and indeed has some feel of a piece of fully professional equipment.
Good for the price, it has power and it is very easy to use.
Shipping
Just arrived and used it to make a 'persian carrot soup' - performed great.
The blender was shipped in its own box with a shipping label .
Packaging/appearance
The box was damaged, however, no noticeable damage to the blender.
Competitiveness
Kitchenaid is one button and does a great job with a stronger motor than cuisinart.
Also cuisinart was designed to turn on with two buttons, one on top and one on the side.
I bought the kitchen aid blender hoping to be similar if not better, and it is however, it is a bit heavier than what i used to have.

However you do have to be sure to rotate the cutter assembly all the way to the detent make the markers line up or it will fall off while you are blending and that can make a mess
