Pros & Cons
Pros
The red one has the largest motor, the other colors were lovely but motor size is most important. The handle has a soft grip which makes holding it easy with my small hands. If it lasts half as long as the old one i'll be happy too.
This mixer really mixes well, creams butter well, blends well and is not overly heavy. The wire-style beaters mean you need a separate whisk attachment (included) to do egg * and whipping cream. It has plenty of power for thick batter, and a good rang... Read More
Cons
The wire whisk is very fragile. The up and down speed * are in an awkward spot. This one is obstructed by the on/off slide button. I also hate the cord, which swivels and is located on the bottom of the mixer.
Fine for cakes, miserable for mashing potatoes. When you put it down on the counter, it turns about a 1/4 turn (on its own,) dropping stuff on thecounter and destabilizing the mixer. Shame to have such bad quality with a kitchenaid product.
Highlights
Quality
Impressed by quality, and attachments works fast.
I like all the settings and the release button is fast and removes beaters easily.
I finally got rid of a cheap model after years of subpar use.
Hell no buy it replace that old one that heavy one the one that won't stand up when you turn it off and leave it.
Price
Love thered color and was happy it was offered at a discount during amazon prime days.
Highly-rated by consumer reports (only the very pricey breville rates higher).
I was lucky and got on a good sale.
Competitiveness
After buying a couple mixers to replace a 50 year old oster, and returning them, i decided to spend a little more for a good brand name.
The first speed is nice and slow and doesn’t throw the mix all over the place like the cheaper brands.
