On/off and bagel are the only *, so easy to use. This kitchenaid toasts perfectly and evenly at a setting of 2-3. Toast darkness knob settings 1-5 allow for everybody’s preference.
Cons
Croissants are generally burnt even at the lowest setting by round 2. This toaster produces more burnt toast than any toaster we have had. It's also very bulky and the levers to press toast down feel clumsy and cheap.
When the toaster was shipped to me it was not placed in a shipping box. Everything else is just stuck there for eternity. Will ask kitchen aid to replace under warranty, but not optimistic.
Toasting is very uneven in every way. At lowest setting one side is always darker than the other.
