Pros
Thanks loving my toaster. Cautiously recommend.
Metal touching doesn't scrape and the tray rises smoothly. The power dial gives good range to adjust light/dark levels.
Cons
Bad design, cheaply made and overpriced. I was disappointed with the plastic body but stopped noticing after a while. The worst part is that the lever won't stay down.
Only one side of the bread gets toasted. Consistently burns and blackens edges of the toast. Center remains uncooked.
High setting barely gets it toasted anymore. It never toasts evenly. It burns the toast if you increase the timer.

I hated my old toaster because my fingers would burn because toast didn't pop up high enough.
Price
I paid a little over $100 5 years ago.
I was surprised this is now over $174.
This product is a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.
Packaging/appearance
We had already disgarded packaging and labels, so elected not to return.
I wish amazon wouldn't try to hustle up reviews on a product that is barely unpacked.

Although it did last almost 5 years and this is the second one i've purchased over the last several years i'm going to another brand.

It’s a bit pricy for a toaster but so were the 3 toaster we had in 4 years because we didn’t replace the first kitchen aid with another kitchen aid

I know everything is up but for a toaster im not willing to pay 174 to replace it when i can purchase one for over half the price and it will probably last just as long
