Pros & Cons
Pros
The finish is stainless steel and cleans up easily. I love the way it looks. The red against the stainless is classy.
Kitchenaid 4-slice toaster is another example of superior kitchenaid quality. Works great and completes the toasting process in a reasonable amount of time. Slots are wide enough for bagels and it has a bagel setting.
Cons
Pretty pitiful. What a disappointment. After 1. First they deny.
The push down handle plastic broke trying to make it stay down. Now i have to use a utensil to get it started but it isn't easy as it's always been touchy. Go with the cuisinart instead.
Disappointed because i never really minded any of the faulty features others here have mentioned. Reading through the reviews shows that most people like theirs, but several have the same complaint as i do.
Highlights
Quality
The finish quality is great, nice brushed steel and very attractive bright red.
For a mid-range toaster, i'm very happy with the purchase.
Packaging/appearance
I can highly recommend this toaster, just don't hulk out on the lever.
Competitiveness
The last toaster we had was a t-fal which we got when we were married some 25 years ago.
If you want your toast fast and dry just like most competitors versions, turn up the setting to 5 and put it on reheat.

Reheat is hotter and the cycle is much shorter and works for store bought air bread

If you have very thin bread push the lever down halfway then drop it in so it stays centered in the slot

Our requirements as many slices as possible we have 6 kids runs on 110 not 240 or 3 phase power like commercial toasters and falls in the sweet spot of cost for quality

Even with both sides going at same time

Also the knobs on the front dont have any specific mark on them to tell you where you are at for timing

Its pretty much free flowing turn and you have to put item down to cook in toaster before you can adjust time instead of just leaving it at a specific spot
