Fits my k5ss perfectly and does a far better job than the c-hook that for some reason kitchenaid included. Works for my 6qt lift mixer, it works better then the c hook. Sturdy metal construction.
When the motor starts lugging, it is time to pull it out and finish the dough by hand. Watch for overheating with heavier dough.
Cons
Dough hook, paddle and whip on the new machine are not dishwasher safe. Even so, the coating on these is not what it once was. Works very poorly with my kitchen aid professional. Bought the wrong piece for my daughters mixer.
They require the buyer to pay shipping on all returns. They also deducting the original outbound shipping of the item before refunding.

While i still plan to handwash the kitchenaid spiral coated dough hook it seems that it could handle being washed in the dishwasher due to the white coating

The mixer came with those horrible aluminum type attachments that get gray dust on your hands and food if they arent washed and dried properly or especially if theyre put in the dishwasher as mine were
