Pros & Cons
Pros
The coloring is nice. My pictures summarize my words. So far is certainly impressive size and bulk.
The weight of the roller pin helps to flatten the dough. This makes it much easier to get it thin. It is comfortable to use whether rolling lightly or putting some weight behind it. It will be helpful for some pastry doughs.
I expect quality from kitchen aid and this did not disappoint. It's not porous so bacteria has less places to hide - it's just easier to clean (by hand) it's an easy clean in the dishwasher.
This is the first rolling pin that i’ve liked better than my tall, lightly floured, glass jar. This pin is a game changer. The kitchenaid gourmet rolling pin is the bomb.
Cons
There is no protective cover on the rolling part itself.
Highlights
Quality
Great high quality silicone rolling pin that is way easier to clean than wood pins.
Kitchen aid brand have good quality of products.
It's too much heavy-weight for me, very good quality
Shipping
Great quality and shipping was super quick!
Packaging/appearance
I think it would be even better if it is put in the refridgerator for a bit so the barrel is super cold.
Packaging needs to be better for the handles with say bubble wrap then put in box with paper.
Competitiveness
The bad: it's a bit more expensive than some wood counterparts.
