Pros
Easy to use and quick to read. Great for checking the temp of chicken and turkey. Likes - pin that goes into the food says there is a tick mark to assure it is at the correct depth.
Being exacting - if that's what you require - may be a stretch.

Very sturdy and should hold up for many years.
Very solid build with great dual holder/case.
I always try to upgrade to digital thermometers at my bar, but the employees won't even touch it when this is around.
This is not a thermometer that you can leave in the oven.
