Raw blending power is superb, able to handle anything i've thrown at it. Smart feature slowly spins the motor up to speed, to protect the motors lifespan. The blender is fantastically powerful and vaporizes egg shells.

The base unit is actually quite well engineered. Mine is the shiny red finish.

The blender is noisy, messy, self clean mode makes a mess and doesn’t get the whole thing. The regular blender is good, but the personal blender broke on the first smoothie. The blade broke of my large blender canister after only 4-5 uses.

This was delivered to me on june 7. It appears that the speed controller went to * already.

Bottom blade of pitcher is glued together with plastic at the base. Kitchenaid is uninterested in helping to repair/replace it. Now, it’s fully inoperable and still waiting for a response from kitchenaid support.
