Pros
The asymmetric blade, square ribbed jar design, and automated motor speed control do an exceptional job of blending. The only disappointment is that the speeds and blending cycles are difficult to see as the lettering is small.
It does it all easily at a fraction of the cost of the higher priced ones. If you are not sure about the color go with the grey, it is gorgeous. Will recommend to anyone and purchase again.

This blender blends everything perfectly. It makes very fine crumbs with no lumps.
Composite (not metal) drive coupler in the base. Metal base thoughtfully has cutouts on the bottom sides so you can slide your fingers under the base to lift it.
Cons
Black rubber base into which the jar sits is disintegrating. Literally melting away. Dream blender for the first few months.

I'm very impressed with the blending power.

There is a strange thing that happened with the first use where there were some shaves on the surface of where the top seats.

The blender jars appear to be made of the same kind of plastic lexan plexiglass i think as cuisinart food processor work bowls have been made for decades so it is strong but not unbreakable

With a glass jar you can add very hot liquids to blend a soup for example but with plastic i am careful to let hot food cool to a temperature that i can touch comfortably before blending

I could not buy a new lid and a new jar cost more than the old cheap blender
