Pros & Cons
Pros
Lasted over ten years. It's still in excellent condition form years of seasonal use. The only regret is i didn't buy it sooner.
This mixer is great for baking bread, baking cakes, or whipping cream. It has a kneading attachment that literally kneads it in a way that is similar to a human hand. Clean up is fairly easy and not super labor intensive. They recommend cleaning with ... Read More
After 17 years, my old kitchen aid was passed on to a younger sibling. I expect this machine to go to one of my kids, someday. It's all metal, so we can cook whatever food everyone is having and run some of it through the grinder while still hot.
Cons
Once every two use, the same screw keeps flying out. Waste of my precious time.
Highlights
Quality
Have been using it very regularly from bread to cookies to cakes and it’s sturdy, easy to clean, and so efficient.
Super easy to use, easy to clean, and the attachments are easy to take apart and switch out.
The hinging feature of this newer model is probably the most desirable quality for me.
It's super heavy but it made my xmas baking a cinch this year!
Price
I bought this mixer/grinder combo as an amazon deal for $260, and it's a great deal!
My mom had hers for longer than i've been alive and i was super excited to have gotten my own while it was on sale.
I found it at a less expensive price and i didn't even open it out of the box
Love the red color and the price was reasonable for the product.
Shipping
Just like store bought but delivered instead.
I’m sure it fabulous once i gift give it but i was super bummed that it had a giant kitchen aid logo on the box it was shipped in.
Packaging/appearance
Looked great right out of the box!
I bought this replacement one and right out of the box it appeared as though it would not function.
I ordered this for christmas and the food grinder attachment does not fit the mixer it came with.
Box banged up but product was fine
Competitiveness
It is also quicker than my old mixer from another big name company.
Basically, it'll still get the job done, but it's nowhere near as good as they used to be.
