Pros

The cranberry hue is fabulous. The greed apple color really matches the hues, as well! Oh and the color is just lovely. This 5-quart is a winner.

Even if i put a towel over it, it still prevents all the flour from flying out. Baking bread on the side, however, has been fine. I frequently bake snacks for the children for when they come down from sunday school.

My ceramic mixing attachments are fully intact and have not chipped yet. The only thing i have had to do is tighten the main screw a single time.

Cons

Just after my warranty expires the stainless steel bowl for this mixer rusted out on me and started to leak! Since 2016 they stop putting a spring on the shaft to keep the attachments from flopping around. It just bounces forward.

The warranty is an absolute waste of money. The replacement is also problematic. Their engineers say it's not needed.

Kitchenaid's wire whip is not dishwasher safe. Kitchenaid should switch to stainless steel.

The price was definitely more than my last mixer, but it does so much more, and holds so much more batter, great for my family of 6.

We were given a 2 week shipping window.

I blame the coronavirus messing with shipping.

I will say this, be prepared for a lengthy shipping.

Competitiveness

I gave the blue aritisan mixer as a christmast present for my wife and she was so gratefull so i have no option to just give 5 stars.

Also it looks very good on the counter with its beutiful shiny finish.
