Pros & Cons
Pros
Kitchenaid dicer is a game changer. Fits great on my older kitchen aid.
Double blade design for dicing in one motion. Comes with a separate box for all the blades. This makes storing of the blades easy. I also have 5 kinds of arthritis so the amount of chopping and dicing is hugh this time of year.
Quick, easy. And cleanup is a breeze. The parts, except for the base, is all machine washable.
Cons
It takes a very long time to grate the carrots with bigger chunks getting stuck in between the disk and the spout. Cabbage gets stuck in julienne cut disk. The * is too small.
It seems like something inside it is stripped and it will not turn anymore. To make a long story short i now have a defective unit that cost me $149. It makes your stand much taller and it feels off-balanced.
Highlights
Quality
It is well made and i've used it over a decade.
I have been using kitchenaid for 10 years now have gotten a few attachments (6 or so) has made it easier to roll out dough and ... Read More
It’s bulky and the lid doesn’t latch all the time, preventing the processor from turning on.
This slices from very thick to very thin in seconds.
Price
The dicer alone is worth the cost!
Given the price, i'd think twice if you are a family of two.
Shipping
I received this just in time before thanksgiving.
Packaging/appearance
It comes with a plastic box with lid to hold all your blades and accessories!
The box to store and organize the different disc gives my ocd heart life.
So when we got the item the box was soaked through.
Other shippers put the box in a large plastic bag but not the post office.
Competitiveness
If you are trying to decide between this and the less expensive vegetable prep i recommend this one.
My pico comes out looking better than store bought.
Similarly, the ninja does what the vitamix has issues with a bit better.
