Quality
So happy and the quality is perfect.
All together, i'm well pleased with the purchase and look forward to doing a lot of bakes with it.
As always the quality shows from kitchenaid, powerful, superb finish, quality attachments, quiet!

Packaging/appearance
Big step up from the 5qt mixer i used to have.

Competitiveness

Very quiet compared to my 5 year old 6qt mixer.
It's just a side-effect of the lift-bowl system as they've designed it.
The unit i received was brand new, not used or a refurb.
