Since it only has a year warranty the only option is to fix it by packing it up and sending it to kitchenaid, tossing it and/or not buying a new one. Kitchenaid customer service says it doesn't come with one. This supposed great item is so very disapp... Read More

The power head did rear up and try to eject the dough. There was an extremely loud screeching sound coming from motor. Also when turning it on it also has this horrible high pitch squeal.

The stainless steel bowl has many tiny metal particles that are difficult to see. Bowl is very narrow so it's difficult to add ingredients to bowl. Bowl can be loosened from the base plate by compressing a wet, warm towel around the bottom of the bowl... Read More

If you are planning on making bread, this mixer is not suitable for dough kneading. The wire beater is flimsy -- no strong at all. With 5 cups of ap flour, it too bogs down, though not as much.

Whisk attachment has unfinished metal that develops a blackish patina when washed. Everything else is just kind of dirty with smudges of dust or oil on everything.

I had one for over 20 years and the only reason it’s broke was from being dropped onto the concrete and bent during a move.

Have to tilt back which is terrible because i wanted it under mycupboards plus no handle on bowl which makes it much harder to use…….
