Pros & Cons
Pros
J-style handle for ease of stacking/hanging. Couldn't be happier with it. The attachments are excellent quality. Another reason is because of all the attachments you can buy and use.
The 8 quart mixing bowl is a game changer for big batch jobs. This mixer has the same footprint of the 6-quart mixer, but has a larger bowl and is more powerful. Available with or without stainless-steel bowl guard.
Noise level is hands-down the quietest i’ve ever used. No flimsy parts or rattling noises. Machine is much more quieter than my 6 qt lift model.
Cons
It's billed as commercial but started quitting faster than my professional model. For the expensiveness of this product and not working properly, you need to make this right.
The motor is basically silent. The wisk attachment is basically useless. That peg should be * into the spindle rather than just held in place by friction.
Highlights
Quality
Loads of power to work through the heaviest of doughs and light enough for delicate mixing of ingredients when needed.
I love my appliance because it is durable, easy to clean, color is perfect for the decor of the kitchen, easy to assemble, sturdy, stylish.
) not burn out any time soon, even kneading heavy rye bread dough.
The thing that i find totally weird, is they claim the dc motor is rated at 1.
Price
For me, the commercial 8 is worth every penny.
I won't address its price, as i bought it using years' worth of accumulated credit card points, which is to say i paid nothing.
And i love that i didn't pay anywhere near $1,000 to get it.
For both, this was a $150 increase each.
Competitiveness
Unfortunately, all other retailers selling the mixer charge the new base price.
I know, you think the price is too high for just another kitchenaid stand mixer.
Not when there are better mixers out there (ankarsrum, for example).

Then it says it’s rated at 500 watts

So the 500 watt rating is close to one half of the 1

On an engineering standpoint i should know these numbers aren’t even close
