Pros & Cons
Pros
Size is great for bigger batches. It is nice as it gives options for making bigger pots of mashed potatoes. I make whole wheat sour dough bread and needed an extra bowl to make 8 loaves in a day. Just as expected, a kitchenaid product with quality.
It is great. But it's pricey! Highly recommend. A bit pricy but will probably last my lifetime. This is so awesome and works extremely well!
Cons
Any regular amount of use in a commercial environment, which it's intended for, yields a broken bowl. Defective, will return. The edges are sharp and cut my index finger into two places deeply.

I noticed it starting to bend with about half a bowl of cake batter so i grabbed the bottom side along with the handle.
This bowl seems to be slightly off compared to the original that came with the mixer.
Competitiveness
As the title states, this product easily changes the kitchenaid 7qt mixer into an 8qt mixer.
Would be perfect if it had a d handle i find it questionable that it would hold the weight of 8qt cookie dough.
