Easier to clean than my mandolin, or food processor. Works just like it should and it's the actual kitchenaid brand. Makes cheese grating so easy.
The kitchenaid shredder is fantastic. It also has more options with the double pusher for slicing and dicing different sized foods. Then pile on a heaping helping of freshly shredded pepper jack.
Cons
This slicer is weak and slow (small feed tube that jams easily), it turns onions to mush, and the blade part is circular (like a cylinder), so the food just collects in there and you have to stop the machine and dig out the food. Shredding apples and ... Read More
This attachment is totally mis-designed. My old conical one is waaaay better, still, than this one. Too much space between the grater cone and the body of the attachment.

I bought one of those counter top models and while it worked as designed it still had flaws most notably finding a bowl that fit under the spout
