Powerful Motor
Customers are highly impressed with the powerful motor of the KitchenAid Epicurean Stand Mixer, praising its ability to handle heavy tasks without straining and making large batches efficiently. However, some mention that it is a heavy machine and takes up significant counter space.
Highlights
Quality
The wire whip, flat beater, and the dough hook are all made with the same heavy duty, and high quality as the mixer.
The new epicurean 6-quart stand mixer easily manages the voluminous batter for a 12x17 baking pan quietly and efficiently.
Too heavy to be put away constantly.
I've had it about 3 weeks and have made bread several times (2 loaves at a time) cinnamon rolls (2 dozen at a time) banana bread, cookies.
Price
One day while we were shopping in lancaster pa we saw in a store this 475 watt epicurean model at a really great price and picked one up.
I have yet to find a recipie that gives this mixer a run for its money.
It would be nice to have an extra bowl on hand but at that price, i can live without it.
My only disappointment is the cost of another 6 quart bowl; around .
Shipping
They'll also pay for the shipping on the old one.
Competitiveness
You'll never find a better product at a more reasonable price.
Mostly, it takes its place on the counter next to the cuisinart and looks spiffy.
Did i mention that before we purchased our first kitchenaid mixer we went through 3 brand new sunbeam stand mixers.
