Kitchenaid's ksmpb5 pastry beater is perfect for blending cold butter into flour for pastry doughs. The way this handles butter is sort of amazing - it makes you want to eat all your dough before baking! A tip i learned a while ago is to freeze your s... Read More
Paddle was made specifically for the kitchenaid. Fits my ksm90 kitchenaid mixer with a 5 qt. Though my ovation is a 5qt. Thank you kitchen aid.
This beater has a rubbery coating and is dishwasher safe. With the large rungs, this one is one of the easiest to clean.
Cons
The description indicates this is for kitchenaid bowl-lift stand mixers. This product is not compatible with model k5ss.
Highlights
Quality
Anything with the kitchenaid name can definitely be trusted as a high quality product.
The quality is great as i expected from the brand and it comes with a dough scraper which is a nice addition.
At this fat cutting step, both beaters are messy and kick up a cloud of flour unless you have the clear cover with the flour chute.
I researched for a while to find a good quality replacement for my kp26m1x mixer because the white coated paddles just keep cracking.
Packaging/appearance
I have included a photo (from the packaging of this specific beater) that shows the compatible mixers & a recipe.
The gloss is painted on; it is not a plastic so it will not peel like some i have seen with plastic coatings.

I know i’m only reviewing an attachment but we’ve been beating the heck out of this mixer for 5 years and it still runs as if i... Read More
Competitiveness
I love love my kitchenaid 6qt lift mixer.
I purchased this attachment for my new 5qt artisan kitchenaid stand mixer.
I have bought several off-brand beaters for my kitchenaid mixer, and they have all disappointed.
Amazon just gave me a superior product for a ridiculous low price.
