Pros

Also has the part number and specifications for the pastry beater. Being disabled, the machine is a lifesaver. And it fits my vintage kitchenaid k45 perfectly.

It takes less than 10 seconds to cut butter into flour with this contraption. You just have to start out on low speed (so that the ingredients don't go flying out) i like the way it mixed the butter in to my scone mix.

The mixer itself is great, amd now all the beaters are too. I like that it’s stainless steel and very durable.

Cons

The paddle is too wide and slightly too long and jams against the side of the bowl during rotation. The description indicates this is for kitchenaid bowl-lift stand mixers.

For me personally, this beater was definitely worth the money.

Although i am completely irked about the price which should be obvious, i chose not to give up my favorite flaky pastries!

Competitiveness

Is extremely, extremely, hideously overpriced, especially as compared to others beater/mixer blades offered by kitchenaid.

I'm going to use it a few times more, and hopefully i'll get better results.
