I was expecting something bigger but was pleasantly surprised by the smaller size.


I returned the 6qt version being so disappointed with the quality and noise it made.


The quality control is much better on this model as well.

Packaging/appearance


Need another attachment in order to get the sides while mixing.

Competitiveness


This is a heavy-duty (emphasis on the heavy) mixer.


I also can't wait to get the pasta attachments so i can make my own gluten-free pasta.


It's not nearly as loud as my vitamix blender: when both are turned all the way up next to each other, i can't even hear the kitchenaid.


I bought a refurbished one at a discount.

    My mom had a kitchenaid 1980sstill working last i saw i have a kitchenaid purchased 2002love it and still working my current husband came with a kitchenaid stand mixer 2005

    Unfortunately my husbands 5qt stand mixer is skipping and making grinding noises very sad

    I will say that some of the attachments are bigger than others so when i try and raise the bowl they will rub against the bottom and the bowl won’t fit all the way up
