Pros & Cons
Pros
You need to buy the pasta roller attachment unless you want to hand roll all of the dough. If you have the spaghetti maker for the kitchenaid, then this is a great add on. Each pocket is about 1.
The ravioli maker is a kitchenaid attachment.
It makes it so simple, you feel like you are cheating. But if you have the time (2-3 hrs), it’s a fun process. Voila --works fine.
Cons
The attachment is not powered by the mixer, the mixer is just a stand for it. The only use of the stand mixer, for this extra, is it latches onto the front.
They end up tasting like thick pasta with a tiny hint of cheese/meat. The dough has to be certain thickness otherwise it won't work right.
Consistently i have the ravioli not sealing between the sheets. This is murderously difficult to re-seal. Even if you fill it correctly, it pushes to much, thus the raviolis break apart at the seams.
Highlights

I am satisfied with the ravioli attachment.
If you make dough with the correct consistency this makes great ravioli and saves so much time!
If you think you’re going to do it quickly, do not buy this product.
This device is manufactured for kitchenaid in italy using quality components.

Kitchenaid makes very high-quality products - i love my stand mixer and all the other attachments i have.
