Pros

It works, it does what it's supposed to do and lasts a long time. It is cheaper than the big box store as well. We have a kitchenaid refrigerator and have used several different brands of water filters in it.

This filter fit my whirlpool refrigerator perfectly. This kitchenaid is a subsidiary of whirl pool so this part is geniune oem and meets the same spec.

It works well and filters water comfortably. Trusted brand, made in usa, filters out the most contaminants as far as i can tell.

Cons

That's correct. I can't trust it if the seal is no longer attached.
