Pros & Cons
Pros
Kitchenaid stand mixer is a workhorse of a mixer. My husband loves it for the sound the worms gear make when running. The only problem i have is the difficulty adding ingredients due to beater placement.
Dishwasher safe, except the whisk. Easy to attach accessories.
Cons
Kitchenaid seems to becoming an inferior product. Recipe on a kitchen-aid calls for 12 minutes with dough hook, the bowl stays on for 20 seconds. Kitchen aid should be ashamed of themselves.
When i went to reinstall it, the * thing is some kind of hyper-custom screw head. Not torx, not allen, certainly not phillips.
Highlights
Quality
The powerful motor and variety of attachments make it incredibly versatile, from mixing dough to whipping cream.
I have been using it weekly since and it is still like new so happy with the customer service and the quality of the product.
We bought a command hook to stick on the back of the mixer so the wire doesn't hang when not in use
Makes no sense to not put a metal bowl and beater in dishwasher
Price
Overall, saving around $150 was absolutely worth it imho.
I saved a ton of money and it works as good as my 50 year old one that finally is giving up the ghost and will need a motor soon.
I purchased a slightly used for about $75 off a new price.
I was a little concerned to buy a ‘returned/refurbed’ mixer but resisting paying full price.
Packaging/appearance
However it came in pristine condition and works beautifully!

The drive gears and anything that takes serious weighttorque was made of metal not full steel i dont think but some sort of alloy that i didnt bother to test and there were no blemishes or shavings of any kind in the gear box or around the race bearingbushings
