Pros
Works well for shredding potatoes for hash browns, latkes or homemade scalloped potatoes. The only thing that kitchenaid should improve on is a longer shaft that goes into the mixer.
Cons
Food processor does a better job of shredding cheese. Vegetables get stuck in-between the blade and the low quality plastic housing. Cutting blades don't slice or shred.
Rvsa rotor slicer schreader is not worth the shipping. Not to the kitchenaid regular quality standards. For'stainless' steel, it also rusts very easily.
Woefully disappointed so far. This kit is a complete disappointment.

The device is now useless. They are both out of warranty. And no option for the second unit because it has been discontinued. I will no longer pay extra for kitchenaid if the parts are defective.

The second one is for shredding soaps to make my own laundry detergent i dont bother cleaning it after every use just pull it out of the box and use keep it assembled and put it back in the box until next time

This is one of those items that really needs to be cleaned right away after using or it can be a real pain later on

I used it for a softer cheese one night roughly rinsed it offout but not thoroughly and when i went to clean it the next evening the cheese had dried up and was stuck on there pretty good

It took a good scrubbing and some picking with a butter knife to get all of the cheese off

The grating attachment has little fluted edges that softer stuff gets stuck in

All easily avoidable too with a little soaking and a quick cleaning right after use

One other note with this metal it can get rusty if left wet for an extended period of time
