Wonderful weight and quality - it can be used from the freezer to the oven and also in the microwave.
Kitchenaid has great quality and i am usually very happy with their products - this casserole dish doesn't disappoint.
The weight is good, the pan itself seems sturdy.
This baking dish has a lid with slightly raised handles that allow you to lift it off of the hot dish even with your oven mitts on.
Price
It looks way more expensive than in the photo!
Packaging/appearance
The red is beautiful and whatever you cook in it, looks even better.
Competitiveness
I absolutely love this casserole dish better than my old generic one.
I have other trivets that seem to make a sturdier pair than glass on glass.

The package says that the lid can also be used as a trivet when it’s cool but the top of the lid is shiny and the base of the dish is unglazed so i would not do this because i would not want to risk scratching the lid

The unique style of this lid has the one downside that it does not have a cool touch handle

For one it will fit in an oven with the lid on it even if your oven racks are close together

Also it will fit in a countertop oven even with flat lid on

And you can put it in the refrigerator or freezer once it cools because the lid has a low flat top that lets it fit in a shallow space

You will want to use nonstick or wooden utensils so that you do not scratch the ceramic

This would be a good gift for housewarming hostess gift engagement or wedding or a useful addition to a small kitchen with a small oven that does not have a room to store lids separately from baking dishes
