Pros & Cons
Pros
High quality, good design and durability. The only downside is it’s a bit heavy.
It is a tad expensive but if you regularly uncork wine this is a great buy. This once is durable, easy to use, open the bottle smoothly…it is just what i was looking for.
Cons
The design implies the corkscrew is to be place directly on top of the bottle. The problem is it does not easily initially implant itself into the cork. The leading cork spirals are wound too tight.
Highlights
Quality
Corkscrew is solid - well built and not flimsy.
This corkscrew is sharp, and feels very sturdy.
Screw it down just to the top of the turning, screw portion, and slowly press both of the silver wings down.
Works every time, pulled the cork out simply with the wings, and is understated.
Price
It is a tad expensive but if you regularly uncork wine this is a great buy.
A good value for the ease of use, functionality, durability and price.
It works well, it looks alright, and it's only twenty bucks.
Packaging/appearance
This opened a bottle of wine that had been sitting on my counter with a swiss army knife corkscrew sticking out of the top like a t.
Competitiveness
So i don't drink alot of whine but i'll say this opener far surpasses the quality of the cheap ones from the grocery store.
No better or worse than other comparably priced corkscrews.
