Pros
This newer model is designed to be even better. Very pleased with this. Would definitely recommend.
The slicing guide is ok, with the first slice guide being a half slice, which is ok if it's the start of the loaf. Every slice is perfect. The handy slicing part is great for perfect slice of bread.
Used to store and cut my homemade loaves. Great size for our needs, outer box holds a 1. Inch slice. Happy with the bread container.
Easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Washes up well and is sturdy.
Cons
Condensation builds up inside the box, leading to bread going mouldy faster. The two pieces are such a loose fit, it makes the air vent(s) redundant.
Cutting a homemade loaf through the flimsy plastic knife guide is not easy. The slices are too thick. Trying to cut a homemade fairly soft fresh loaf, forget it, makes it even harder.

One tip is not to use the guide as a cutting board and so as you almost get to the bottom of the slice you are cutting cut very gently with no pressure

This stops you scoring the plastic and ultimately creating a break in the guide base

The two adjustable ventilation holes allow you to let moisture out from a fresh loaf and the close them up after a day or two

Its transparent has a cutter accessory and becomes smaller as the bread becomes smaller locking in all the freshness
