You do have to be very careful that youve actually pushed the top down all the way so maybe thats why some people have problems with them

I got away with this a few times until i overfilled it the bottom bulged severely under the strain and now it cant stand up straight even on a flat surface

Certain colors are available only in certain sizes which is a real letdown

Furthermore the selection is slightly different on the klean kanteen website so theres a small chance that if the combination of size and color you want is not available on amazon you may be able to find it elsewhere

I wish i could have gotten the yellow one in the small size but ill be using and abusing the one i got until it bites the dust
