Pros & Cons
Pros
Exactly as pictured and described. The rubberized grip makes the awl very easy to hold. I can't see how a heavier awl would be needed, this one is very stout.
The best owl on the market. Very nice, durable, and good value.
The shaft is a good length for using in many projects. I do alot of carrier heat exchangers this is a must tool. This is a tool that anyone could add to their kitchen drawer tool belt or box without regret.
This thing is tough. Anything klein is to notch! Get it. Great tool. A simple push is all that is needed to get things going.
Marks pilot hole location or indents. Doubles to scribe sheet metal. Unclogging nozzles and glue bottle tops.
Cons
Not only is the tip just a little bit bent, the whole shank is completely bent! This has to have been a factory defect, not shipping damage. I have always been impressed with klein tools as far as value for cost, this one not so much.
Highlights
Quality
Excellent quality strong i recommend this product you will not be disappointed!
Very high quality, should last a lifetime.
Isn’t made from globally sourced materials either.
I bought this because klein makes a quality tool and i've been told an awl is a good thing to have in the toolbox.
Price
A bit expensive and worth the price.
It is worth twice the price for me!
Competitiveness
I have had a few different styles of awls, i like this one just fine.

The shafts steel is relatively hard but its more likely to bend than break so there may be times when it will be hard to get a visible scratch on steel
