Sound quality excellent with small set amp using 6bq5 output tube/per channel.
To make them sound even better i removed the angle base on the bottom of the speaker and placed them on 18 inch end tables.
Had a pair of cherry veneer heresy iii's in my main stereo only system for years.
The forte sounded more open and la scala blown everything away ‘cause it’s a total different class.

Given the price i paid, a win for the seller and i.

In terms of looks & form factor, it really has no other competition.
After better than 6 months of comparison i sold the iv's (got close to what i paid) and kept the iii's.
The the main alternative with similar form factor is the jbl l100, which is much more expensive.

Unfortunately perhaps due to its small form factor the sound quality suffers quite a bit

To sound best they need to be pointed directly at you which means that you either need to sit on the floor or on a really low chair
