Received this monster last tuesday this is replacing a old jbl subwoofer my wife and i were anxious to try it so we hooked it up to the receiver right away all klipsch with onkyo thx certified put star trek beyond in the oppo 203 cranked the volume up and watch the entire movie

After a few months when the unit is running in standby it started making a popping sound

I get a series of about 5 pops then a few seconds of quiet then it repeats over and over

When watching movies and sounds are quiet or there is only dialog the popping is also audible

Tried resetting wireless and speaker but seems to fix for a few minutes before returning

Have been unable to try direct wire without wireless but seems fishy for such an expensive product

The amplifier in my subwoofer started malfunctioning after 18 months

And while the power rating isnt too far off from my old sub the larger speaker can just belt out lows that a 10 inch cant
