Pros

Great speakers, crystal clear sound without the big price tag. They possess the clarity you expect from klipsch speakers without being too bright or too laid back. The speakers are what i expected/ wanted, so thumbs up there.

Bass is satisfyingly deep even without a subwoofer. Highs are sweet, mids are full. They are punchy, have just the right amount of bass.

It works very nicely with the klipsch. Rf ii series. The build quality is solid with good weight which usually means heavy magnets behind the drivers.

Front porting gives strong, quick bass and allows closer positioning to rear wall. I planned to install the speakers in a bookcase on either side of a 65 tv, so the front ports are more suitable.

Can fill small and mid sized rooms easily. That setup brings a very good quality of music to my kitchen area without using a ton of shelf space. Female vocals are superb on these, it's like the singer is in the room with you.

Cons

One of the speakers emits a very low volume of sound.

Price

The $299 price from amazon is quite fair and i am most happy with the purchase.

Bought these as no brainer during sale price.

2's sound like a muddled, jumbled mess at about 40 bucks less!

I paid $359 for the pair and it felt a bit expensive for large bookshelf speakers.

Competitiveness

These rb61s worked well, better than the newer model, for me, because the vent faces forward, letting me set them closer to the...  Read More

Coupled with an energy powered base, a fluance turn table, and yamaha amp.

Also these speakers are very forgivable to poor recordings ,compared for example to other speakers that i had (elac debut 2.

You’d probably have to spend $500 or more per speaker with other top brands to get a better sound than these.
