I had a 15 year old cheap logitech surround sound system where the speakers plug directly into the bass box but i wanted a really good subwoofer so i got an svs sb 3000 and this causes me to have to upgrade my whole sound system

I hadn’t ever needed a receiver till now and the speakers could have been connected with rca to speaker wire adapters or i could’ve just stripped the rca tips off but these speakers were on sale and were better so i switched

My sister now sings way way better at the price of major complexity because smart tvs and revives are all trying to control everything and i hate that

I can say that the speakers are the least of the problem in the set up

I just wish now that they were more neutral sounding but i didn’t know about this concept when i bought them and it was too late to return them

They do sound good i guess i would also prefer that they didn’t have little subwoofers in each speaker

However while trying to mount the central receiver the metal piece which connect to the mount came lose and was dislodged inside the speaker
