It works well i still unplug and let my flat iron cool for 10 minutes before placing in bag but i would confident in the bag doing just fine if i needed to throw it directly in the case

Exactly what it said in description very pleased and delivery was fast this was a little bit bigger than i had anticipated that works well love this you can immediately put a flat iron inside right after unplugging it and doesnt get hot on outside i had an old heat resistant travel case that i have used for 10 years
