Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the second gardening year i'm using this string for tying up my tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. Seems very durable, as it's been out in the garden on my pepper and tomatoes.
The softness of the stretch & flexibility is perfect for plants. It is stronger and more flexible than the green vinyl tape. The cost is so economical that i could use as many as needed.
Cons
It is singed together in spots and has a worn color and curled shape in places, to go along with the haphazard winding on the warped spool. It's just a big jumbled mess that's begging to get tangled.
It has no elasticity. If you try to counter for this, tying it tighter, it cuts into the stems. This elastic isn't white. Although it is ok for my purposes, the elastic is definitely grey.
Highlights
Quality
It works great to support the vines while not causing damage by restricting them, and still allowing for some movement in wind
Works great and holds up in the elements alot better than twine and does not hurt the plants as they grow.
My tomato stakes are made of 1/2-in emt conduit which is too wide for garden-variety plastic clips.
Our tomato plant grew fairly big this year and one day noticed the whole plant was leaning over.
Price
The cost is so economical that i could use as many as needed o secure the plant.
Good value for the amount of product.
Shipping
After reading some of the reviews i was a bit hesitant to order this but it arrived as advertised.
