Pros & Cons
Pros
The rainfly, footprint, and base of the tent all clip together quite nicely and have adjustment sliders to keep them correctly tensioned. The vestibule for packs or boots is very cool. Best backpacking tent around!
Even with the tapered roof line, the foot of the tent still is pretty spacious and not claustrophobic at all. At the sale price it periodically goes down to. It does exactly what you need a tent for.
The poles are color coded to all the other equipment, even the footprint that's sold separately. My only gripe is the tent must be staked down in order to work. I bring a scrap of tarp to throw under the footprints of all my tents anyway, because a sh... Read More
Highlights
Quality
The material quality is top notch - no loose threads, seam tape everywhere, and high quality mesh.
This is a very high quality, well built tent.
The poles actually are a large 'h-shape' and attach about two feet in from the corners on the sides.
The pole structure is all interconnected so you just have one skeleton instead of multiple poles.
Price
Mesh tore a tiny bit on the first use on a quick trip but still think this is a great value.
Honestly this tent is great, especially at the sale price it periodically goes down to.
Shipping
Just recieved this tent - super fast delivery.
Packaging/appearance
The new "roll up" packing system is great.
We've used it on two backpacking trips with our boys and really appreciate how compact and light it is when packed up.
It packs back up just like it came, no fighting the original packaging.
Competitiveness
That keeps the overall weight to space at a very competitive range compared to other tents.
It was a mansion compared to my 1p tiger wall and 2p north face mica ul tents.
I also have the klymit cross canyon 4, which is significantly larger, but heavier too.

Rain cover is light but after using it on 2 trips with plenty of rain i didnt notice any leaks and the water just beads off

Most of the time i consider a 4 person tent a 2 person geardog capacity but being 61 i could only sleep in the middle without my head or feet touching the mesh

With the extra room but compact size folded up ill probably keep using it as a site hopping tent as it takes just a few minutes to set up

If youre 510 or shorter you could easily fit 3 people with sleeping pads in here

Definitely measure each mat though and make sure they fit the dimensions of the tent

Set up is a bit more complicated than most free standing tents and you have to be able to stake it down but once you understand how it works its not a big deal and doesnt take that long
