I really prefer metal needles to wood or plastic and these are great.
I love that the needles themselves are not overly long.
Once "set" using the screwing pin, mine seldom come apart even when doing complex stitches, though i do check every time i complete a row.
I do like these a lot but the and the sides of the tips are scratching up quicky
