Hand/Machine Painted
Customers are generally positive about the hand/machine painted aspect of the Knit Picks Stroll Hand Painted Fingering Superwash Merino Wool Sock Yarn, with some noting slight discrepancies between the shown colors and the actual yarn but still expressing satisfaction. The yarn is considered a great value for its quality and knits up beautifully, though some find it overpriced.
Highlights
Quality
Thickness seems uniform throughout the skein, no knots, lovely colors.
Super soft, vibrant colors, and washes great.
The ply was smooth and didn't split.
This yarn was a very soft wool blend.
Price
I would happily recommend this yarn but gave it 4 stars because it is overpriced.
Shipping
The sender was quick, and even though my orders were weeks apart, i got the same dye lot!
I paid more ordering from amazon, but speedy delivery made the extra cost worthwhile.
Competitiveness
This is a great alternative to indie dyer hand dyed yarns that sell for twice the price.
I would recommend it as a less expensive alternative to indy dyed yarns.
However it’s no worse than most other comparable yarn i’ve used.
