The light output specification is 5000k meaning it is bright white light not the yellowish light output you normally get from incandescent or some cfl bulbs

This might be an issue in some fixtures where the bulb is hanging on a wire with out additional support

Happily it also fit into the mantle of our standing lamp which i angled towards the ceiling and again i got an impressively bright illumination basically blasting open any shadowed nook or cranny its aimed towards

The price on these and other kobi bulbs change frequently and right now the amazon price is 50 more than i paid 2 weeks ago and a seller associated with amazon has the same price as i paid originally but no free shipping so watch prices carefully

It comes on immediately its very bright and no sound at all ive heard some led bulbs make a sound
