Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to use, excellentzoom, beautiful pictures. Takes a bit of practice to get use to not having your pics fuzzy and clicking at the right time. I like being able to use the telescoping lens but it is bulkier than my previous camera was.
Cons
The camera is not that great. Zoom is not what was expected, closeups are poor quality. The image is blurry. Should be cheaper though - it's on the small side and the housing is all plastic and really cheapens the look and feel of it.

Shipping
I was not pleased with the shipping box.
Shipping was scheduled to arrive after christmas during the first week of january and it actually came 4 days before christmas!
Competitiveness
It has the best zoom lens on the market.
It’s a great buy and worth the buy .
On the p&s side, features are rather simplistic and limited (even more so than my zs3).

Up around 600mm the image gets pretty soft and at maximum zoom the chromatic aberration and softness are very distracting so you might want to go with the pixpro az252 instead since focal lengths beyond 400mm are pretty useless
