Pros
Some are wired for rv's and travel trailers. This is a significant upgrade from the old cable where all seven wires are 14 ga.
Everything tested as working once it was installed. Really does a neat job and tidied up the wiring big time. This cord stays firmly in my trucks receptacle.
Cons
To further exasperate the poor quality of this cord, it is much thicker in diameter than other cords. This cord is not wired per standard 7 pin standard wiring on trucks and trailers.
After decades of repairing trailers it is frustrating when people wire thing up incorrectly.

The colors they use are not standard, at least not what my trailers are, nor what i found on the interwebs but easy enough to figure out.

This is because and this is a general statement utility trailer manufacturers tend to use a different color code than rv manufacturers for their wiring

If you look at the the front end of this plug it says that red wire which is in the 3 oclock position if you are looking at it is left turn signal

That is because the auto manufacturers insist that the 3 oclock position on the plug makes the left turn signal come on regardless of what color the different trailer industries choose for that wire

The mounting box is on the cheaper side and difficult to use

The dont give enough room on each stud especially if you are running any larger wire
