Pros & Cons
Pros
Using a ryobi 4ah 18 volt battery and this regulator to power a pump. Add this to golf cart to step down the lighting to 12 volts. Used on my 48v ebike conversion time get 12v for some led signals and head/tail lights.
Puts out 12v like it should. Works as advertised. Completely waterproof as well. Stays cool in a tropical environment.
Fast shipping, delivered on a sunday, and works perfectly. This item works great. Would highly recommend.
Cons
Conductor size on the 24v side is 16 gauge--12v side is 14 gauge. Lasted a week on my 48v scooter. Worked for 18 months then quit and shorted out cart charger system.
If you hook the source up in reverse, the converter is toast! No instructions at all.
Highlights
Quality
Like the solid feel, awesome heat sinking and amps that this can handle!
Exact replacement as the original which i thought had gone bad due to excess battery usage.
Been working for about 4 months now on a golf cart running safety lights on it.
4ah battery ran the pump about 22 minutes which, with inefficiency factored in is about spot on.
Price
Very reasonable price, easy to install, works great.
Inexpensive option to add 12v power to my 48v cart.
Two hundred dollars later i had to replace a 1-1/2 year old battery.
Shipping
Fast shipping, delivered on a sunday, and works perfectly.
