My stock latch broke during a trip to new zealand and i had to duct tape it which obviously meant that i couldnt submerge it

One thing the guy at the photo store in nz told me was to make sure to squeeze the case together and not use the latch as a lever to close the case he says thats what causes the latch to break most times

The replacement casebackseal was a tad too big and trying to close it with the latch made the latch literally explode

Metal seemed like it might be the way to go although the rest of the case is plastic so im looking for another point of failure

One thing i noticed in some of the other reviews is the complaint that the metal mounting loop is prone to rusting in seawater
