Pros

The microphone in this product is a dynamic microphone, just like the product description says it is. At less than $30 i think this is a great headset for those that want a dynamic microphone. Even their worst is better that most companies best. These... Read More

Comfort is wonderful, just like other kpss headphones. They are comfy, but may get uncomfortable around the ears after a few hours for those with long hair and glasses.

The mic is plenty sensitive, and is still better than the mic on a (lower priced) headset. Noise cancellation is good. Clear voice sound, clear microphone.

The koss sb40 is a great mic for broadcast radio. It works with most any decent quality audio soundboard. It also works well with most vhf/uhf transceivers.

Cons

Impedance of 120 ohms not 32 ohms. Mic is mono so any audio pushed through it will be single channel only.

But it is a poor redheaded step-child if your going to use this headset for computer use. Not durable. Not worth in in my opinion.

The no volume control on the headset or headset wire. These headphones are big and the headband can be a bit uncomfortable.

Pros: the dynamic element microphone naturally cancels out background noise.

Price

The price ($30) makes it a winner in terms of bang for the buck.

Works great with my two kenwood ts590s at a bargain price.

Ps: do note: i paid full price for the koss, this was not a frreebie !

For less than 40 bucks, i will never have to buy another computer headset and neither will you!

Shipping

Its only a 9 dollar return shipping charge you have to cover, and they will waive that for you sometimes if you ask really nicely.

Every time one has failed or come undone on me, i have sent them to koss and a replacement would always promptly arrive at my doorstep.

All of which we researched and compared and the sb40 is excellent.

Works as well or better than the expensive brands.
