I had to plug it in a few times as the connector from my 2009 macbook had some oxidation on the connector since it had never been used but it worked fine after a few plug ins

This adapter works great for connecting an external monitor tv or even doing a presentation on a projector

Protip if your monitor tv projector supports hdmi use that instead of vga as it is a newer digital connector that will produce better quality video

The vga side of this adapter is still good though for older legacy devices that only support the older analog vga connector

I was able to mirror the screen on my macbook pro so i could see the same image on my computer and my tv
