5-inch hole would make it anymore difficult to get a wrench on the underside sink drain nut versus a 4-inch.

    Two tips for installation and design i should have told the carpenter to build the vanity 34 inches lower than standard since this sink sits on top of the vanity rather than sinking into it

    Also the fabricator should cut the slab so that the water hits the side of the bowl rather than hitting right on the drain cover
