What i do not like is rock salt and ice and the loud noise of a churning machine or the ache of an arm that had to do all the churning manually

One warning if the custard takes too long to get thick slightly wrong recipe or too warm to start with then the motor will overheat and shut itself off

There is an autooff function based upon stiffness of the cream which keeps you from going too far

I did have a problem with the top ring not staying latched but it seemed to clear up when i was sure the bottom freezer container was level when it was placed in the freezer prior to use

This was bought like new and it was nearly so — missing only a wood spatula but easily replaced not missed

The motor is very quiet so you can run the machine during dinner or when you have company
