Pros & Cons
Pros
This kit has everything you need to apply ice/heat therapy. Keeps the injured joint iced, or alternating hot and cold is simple. Works as advertised relieving an old injury pain.
The adjustable strap is one of the best features. Being able to adjust the strap and make it as tight as possible is good.
The wrap has an adjustable strap that you can put just about any place on your body to hold the heat/cold compress in place. The inside part of the wrap has some silicone lines that gets hot, so be careful so you don't get burned by the silicone. The ... Read More
Cold or hot pack goes into mesh pouch which closes with velcro. I'm very impressed by the hot pack, it heats fast and holds the heat. Versatile but needs a 2nd cold pack.
The velcro is something i've never seen before, it's like two pieces of fabric that stick together. It's very flexible, but also very sturdy.
Cons
The heat pack is so fragile they instruct you to heat in 20 second intervals. I am also nervous to overheat the pack in the microwave for fear it will burst. There were no warnings on the pad. The is no replacement for the pos heat pouch.
This product needs to go back to r&d for more development and refinement. It's almost impossible. Complete waste of money.
Highlights
Quality
The materials and construction look like they will hold up well over time.
Easy to use, and holds heat for a good length of time.
The heat pad did pop and leaked after only two uses.
I have had plantar fasciitis and when i feel the pain start in my heel, i wrap my foot and it never gets cronic.
Price
It was well worth the price, use it all the time after work, working out or playing sports.
For the relatively high price of this system, a second cold pack should be included.
Overall, i would give this a try when it goes on sale.
Packaging/appearance
The hot pack is covered in a velour like material which helps produce moist heat when warmed.
In the box, you get a reusable freezer pack and a reusable hot pack that you heat in a microwave.
I have included photo so you can see the size of the packs relative to a soda can.
Competitiveness
I had a similar pack from another company before, but this has two notable improvements.
I'm a longtime fan of kt kinesiology tape, which i apply to my affected knee before running, so thought this product was wortha... Read More
